Dance Home and the Big Room in the project that came to be known as Solstice Center . . . IT WAS A BLAST Dance Home the Barefoot Boogie were a fixture of what became Solstice. Community Dances were held in The Big Room from September 1993 until a final farewell gathering on Valentine's Day 2017. Financial accountabilty rested with the Solstice Institute, the nonprofit. A real cauldron of human connection and interaction, we actually have no idea how many people ultimately came and enjoyed the lovely space - peak attendance was hundreds of people twice a week. It only happened because of the amazing creative shakti and pure juice in the rhythm, the lovely and occasionally perspiring members of the greater Boulder Community. |
